Stryre (electric lyre)

Introducing the ‘Stryre’: a unique solid electric Saxon lyre.

Based on the dimensions of the stunning 6th century lyre found in Trossingen, Germany, it has been given an all electric facelift to create a fusion of Beowolf and Leo Fender! In addition to greater stability and ease of tuning courtesy of the solid body, steel strings and machine heads, the Stryre boasts a unique dulcimer bridge section which duplicates the main strings voicing but two octaves higher. The two sections can be played together or independently, massively increasing its register and tonal range and giving access to many harp, psaltery and dulcimer-esque sounds. It’s a whole new way to play.
